Q: Is it too late to buy the stocks in the Switzer high-income portfolio?

Would you still suggest to buy the stocks in your high-income portfolio and if not, do you have a list of potential stocks for a new high-income portfolio?

A: If I was constructing the portfolio now (3 July 2012), it would be broadly similar, with some fine tuning about the weights. In terms of stocks, I would have a hard look at David Jones (probably eliminate), potentially look for a replacement for Ramsay in healthcare (which is now looking pretty expensive), and have a hard look at Brambles. I suggest you start with your sector weights (and biases first), and then think about the stocks.

NB: The Switzer Super Report high-income stock portfolio is based on a purchase date of 15 December 2011. You can view the stocks in this portfolio here.
