Stocks to watch on the Australian stock exchange at noon on Thursday:

API – AUSTRALIAN PHARMACEUTICAL INDUSTRIES – down 1.5 cents, or 2.65 per cent, at 55 cents

Australian Pharmaceutical Industries is writing down the value of some of its assets by $131 million.

DSH – DICK SMITH HOLDINGS – up 3.5 cents, or 1.59 per cent, at $2.235

Electronics retailer Dick Smith has recorded a slight lift in group third quarter sales, as growth in its Australian operations offset a decline in its New Zealand business.

NAB – NATIONAL AUSTRALIA BANK – up 20.5 cents, or 0.58 per cent, at $35.38

Bank of New Zealand’s head of its business bank, Anthony Healy, is to become its new chief executive.

STO – SANTOS – steady, at $13.44

Santos has increased first quarter sales revenue from a year ago by 28 per cent despite a flat production performance.

WPL – WOODSIDE PETROLEUM – up 25 cents, or 0.63 per cent, at $39.84

Energy giant Woodside Petroleum has lifted its first quarter revenue despite a small slide in production.
