Stocks of interest on the Australian Securities Exchange on Friday:

AMP – AMP – up 23 cents, or 4.2 per cent, at $5.75

AMP chief executive Craig Meller says the wealth manager’s turnaround remains on track despite a slide in its first half net profit.

ORG – ORIGIN ENERGY – up 59 cents, or 4.2 per cent, at $14.78

Origin Energy has increased net profit by 40 per cent and says the looming start-up of its large gas project this year will increase cash flow by $US1 billion.

SUL – SUPER RETAIL GROUP – up 46 cents, or 5.3 per cent, at $9.18

Auto, sports and leisure retailer The Super Retail Group has forecast modest growth for the first half of 2014/15 after widespread belt-tightening hurt its sales in May and June.

TTS – TATTS – down 21 cents, or 5.8 per cent, at $3.41

Gambling outfit Tatts has made a solid start to the new financial year, but its profit was dragged down by a $42.6 million health benefit levy charged to its discontinued poker machine business.

STO – SANTOS – down five cents, or 0.34 per cent, at $14.59

Gas producer Santos releases its half year results on Friday.

ILU – ILUKA – up one cent, or 0.12 per cent, at $8.59

Mineral sands miner Iluka releases its half-year results.

SLK – SEALINK TRAVEL – down one cent, or 0.57 per cent, at $1.75

Ferry and tour operator SeaLink Travel to unveil its full-year earnings.

BGA – BEGA CHEESE – up one cent, or 0.2 per cent, at $5.30

Bega Cheese to release its full year results.
