Aussie shares close higher

The Australian share market has closed higher, bringing its winning streak to seven straight sessions.

At the close on Friday, the benchmark S&P/ASX200 index was 6.7 points, or 0.12 per cent, higher at 5,645.6, while the broader All Ordinaries index was up 6.5 points, or 0.12 per cent, at 5,640.5, according to preliminary figures.

On the ASX 24, the September share price index futures contract was three points higher at 5,608, with 15,839 contracts traded.
